Blossom Time
We hit full blossom around May 9 and bee hives were already in place to help with pollination. We are now at 'petal fall' stage and will soon know how well the fruit has set. That warm spell in March forced the buds early and the subsequent frosts in April caused significant crop losses in orchards north and south of the Great Lakes basin.
