Pumpkin Patch

October may end with Halloween, but it begins with the celebration of harvest, the culmination of the growing season. In 2010 we introduced Pick-Your-Own Pumpkins, with farm-grown pumpkins ranging in price according to size. Our Pumpkin Patch is nestled by the Rideau Canal, where you and the kids can pick out the perfect pumpkin or two to decorate your home and yard for fall, and enjoy fresh pumpkin in seasonal harvest dishes.

When you think about pumpkins, don't think just about Jack O' Lanterns and pie -- pumpkins are more than just that! They are the largest fruit in the world, and can be used to make bread, soup, and many other dishes. Pumpkins are also a great source of beta-carotene (vitamin A), and other important nutrients.
