We have modified our Group format for 2020 to provide Covid-19 precautions. Please read details below; we appreciate your co-operation and understanding.
What could be more fun than an outing in our scenic apple orchard overlooking the historic Rideau Canal? Fresh air, hands-on learning and - best of all - you get to take home a bag of fresh, crunchy apples you picked yourself! Between Labour Day and Thanksgiving, book your group for a weekday morning or afternoon to visit to our orchard. We'll greet your group at the entrance to our orchard and teach you how to properly pick an apple (yes, there is a right way!)
For 2020, we have implemented Group visit format and policies as Covid-19 precautions:

For 2020, we have implemented Group visit format and policies as Covid-19 precautions:
- SELF-SCREENING FOR COVID-19 SYMPTOMS. Before coming to the farm, all individuals must complete a Covid-19 self-assessment. Do not come if you or anyone in your group has symptoms.
- HAND HYGIENE. We will provide a portable hand-washing station and hand sanitizers. Please sanitize your hands before entering the orchard.
- CUSTOMER TRAFFIC FLOW. You will enter the orchard at our PYO Kiosk. We will open one section of our orchard at a time, with arrows pointing up one row and down the next. Once you are done picking, you will use the designated Exit gate to return to your parked vehicle(s).
- SOCIAL DISTANCING. Please maintain 2 m social distancing at all times, following directional signs in the orchard rows A group or bubble that arrives together should pick together as a group.
- SUPERVISION OF CHILDREN: Children 12 and under must be supervised at all times, so please ensure sufficient adult numbers to maintain discipline. For families coming as part of a group, there is a maximum of 2 children for every adult.
- NO SNACKING OR SAMPLING APPLES. This is to limit hands touching faces. Public Health and Health Canada also advise that all fruits and vegetables should be washed before eating.
- PICNIC AREA IS CLOSED this year. Please do not bring or consume food or beverages (other than water bottles) while at our farm. As an alternative, consider moving your vehicle(s) and group members to the Lower Brewers Lockstation nearby, where picnic tables are available.
